The rice cake is made entirely from butter and egg yolks, with no water added. It uses traceable Penglai rice flour in place of traditional flour, which eliminates the chance of gluten intolerance. It has a full-bodied texture as well as a rich buttery and eggy flavor that is the result of a complex production process that involves baking layer by layer over four hours.
