They are then sorted by size and thoroughly cleaned. A high-tech laser sorting machine scans the raisins, and if any foreign objects are detected, a burst of air automatically removes them.
Finally, trained quality control personnel manually inspect the raisins, ensuring that California Raisins remain the cleanest and highest-quality raisins in the world. Once the final inspection is complete, machines automatically weigh and package the raisins into various sizes for different uses, including consumer snack packs and bulk packaging for baking and cereal manufacturers.
